On January 28th, we held the 8th Fruit Growing Technical Conference at the Palau de Margalef (Lleida). The event brought together professionals and industry experts to discuss the latest innovations in the world of fruit production.
Innovation and sustainability: the central pillars of the seminar
The welcome address was given by Xavier Minguet, Manager of Agroborges, who opened a series of high-level technical presentations focused on effective solutions for the sector. First, Daniel Fortanet (Product Manager of Biosolutions at Gowan) presented the new liquid iron chelate Greental® Flow. He was followed by Miguel Ángel Pietra (Technical Expert Spec & Vegs Iberia at Syngenta), who presented the latest technology in liquid mating disruption: Exployo Fruit and Exployo Vid.
Before the coffee break, Carlos Mirabet (CEO of Agrozymes) highlighted the key role of microorganisms in fruit tree fertilization. Upon resuming the session, Elena Pereyra (Agricultural Engineer and Sales Delegate at De Sangosse) shared the keys to maximizing the performance of fungicides and insecticides with an in situ experimental demonstration.
The second part featured Dr. Estanis Torres (Specialist Researcher in Peach at IRTA), who explained the thinning of stone fruit with CaTs®, and José Estaun (Technical Director of Ardagri), who analyzed productive efficiency. Finally, José Manuel Gamoneda (Regional Agronomy Manager at Tessenderlo Kerley) closed the seminar by addressing the use of thiosulfates in regenerative agriculture.”
Lunch and networking
After a morning of sharing knowledge, solutions, and resolving doubts, the event moved on to lunch—a space for networking and exchanging impressions.
